I know a lot of great things about tech, points, miles, and more. Since I have so many things to share, I decided to create a referral page. Here's a list of programs, services, apps, and credit cards I think you might enjoy. If you like them, you often get something for being a referralee (is that a word?) and I might get a referral bonus myself. Yay! Win-win!

Points and Miles / Credit Card Rewards

Here are some of my favorite point and mile earners (at least the ones that have referral links):

The Amex Blue Business Plus card is legit my favorite business card! Why? 2 Membership Rewards points for every dollar is like 4% back. That's HUGE! Up to $50,000/year in spend can get 2 MR/$.

CURRENT REFERRAL: 10,000 Membership Rewards® points after they use their new Blue Business® Plus Credit Card to make $3,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of Card Membership.

The Amex Everday card is a great and easy starter card for everyday folks. There's no annual fee. You get 1 Membership Reward (MR) point per dollar spent. You get 2 MR points per dollar at grocery stores. If you use this card at least 20 times in a month, you'll get a 20% bonus on your MR points, effectively making it 1.2 MR points/$ and 2.4 MR points/$. Yas.

CURRENT REFERRAL: 25,000 Membership Rewards® points after they use their new Amex EveryDay® Credit Card to make $2,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of Card Membership (but this referral link works on ALL Amex cards, so choose your favorite!):

Marriott’s business credit card offers a huge bonus for anyone that has a business name, even if it's a DBA.

CURRENT REFERRAL: Earn 75,000 Marriott Bonvoy Points after you use your new Card to make $3,000 in purchases within the first 3 months:

The Amex Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant card is a no brainer for anyone that is willing to stay in a fancy Marriott at least once per year. It costs $450/year (WOAH!), but wait! It comes with a $300/year Statement credit at Marriott properties. It also comes with a free night eligible for up to 50,000 points. 50,000 points = $450 worth of hotel. Um. Hello. The card pays for itself just with the free night!

CURRENT REFERRAL: Earn 75,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points after you use your new Card to make $3,000 in purchases within the first 3 months:

The Chase Freedom is my OG Chase card. I’ve had this since 2008. It’s a solid starter card for anyone. You get 1 Ultimate Reward point for every purchase. On top of that, there is a rotating category where you get, wait for it, 5 Ultimate Reward points for those purchases. To paint a picture, 5 UR points per purchase is industry leading! Everyone is looking for this kind of gold on their cards. All of this with no annual fee!

CURRENT REFERRAL: Earn $150 bonus with Chase Freedom. I can be rewarded too if you apply here and are approved for the card. Learn more.

The Chase IHG card was my first hotel credit card. This was my first foray into "Apply for the card. Get the sign-up bonus. Throw it in my sock drawer. Use the free annual night each year." It's that easy. Highly recommend.

CURRENT REFERRAL: Earn 80,000 bonus points with the IHG Premier credit card. I can be rewarded too if you apply here and are approved for the card. Learn more.

This is the non-business, non-luxury version of the above Marriott cards. The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless very similar to the Business account above as far as benefits, but this one is only $95/year. To offset the cost of the annual fee, it comes with a free hotel night each year, so the card is essentially free if you use it!

CURRENT REFERRAL: Earn a 3 Free Night Award with the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless™ Credit Card. I can be rewarded too if you apply here and are approved for the card. Learn More.

My first credit card! YAY!! I LOVE Southwest Airlines. They’re kind, chill, down to earth, and their credit card is a great starter card. This specific one is the Priority Card, so 2x Rapid Reward points per Southwest purchase, 1x RR points on everything else. You get 7,500 Rapid Reward points each anniversary (over a $75 value). Oh, and $75 Southwest credit, 4 free upgraded boardings, and 20% back on in-flight purchases. All for $150 per year. That’s right—the card more than pays for itself.

CURRENT REFERRAL: Earn 40,000 points with any Southwest personal Credit Card and business owners can earn 60,000 points with the Southwest Premier Business Credit Card.

Award Wallet isn't a credit card. This is just the website/app I use to track all of my points and miles. It is SO so so helpful.

CURRENT REFERRAL: Also, contact me for a free upgrade coupon so you can try the Plus version.

I don't have a car. I live in NYC. The reason I include this is because the hidden, underlying company is called the Rewards Network. They sponsor reward dining for all of the airlines. The issue is that none of these programs have an app with a map of places you can dine. Not to worry because Fuel Rewards has an app! So use their app to find where you can dine for extra/free points and miles! (Be sure to first sign up for the dining program of your choice here.)

If you shop online, you need to join TopCashback. Period. They give back the most cash of any of the cashback places. They have a guarantee to back it up. I mean, hey, they’re called TopCashback for a reason! (I get that this is not points or miles, but I put it here because you would do this in lieu of a shopping portal from an airline, so it’s related.)

CURRENT REFERRAL: I don’t think you get shit, but I get paid!

This is the grandfather of the shopping portals. Go here FIRST, click to a place you would normally shop online, make money. Period. Even better, they have a browser extension that reminds you to click through with them, which is invaluable. I would have missed the cashback so many times was it not for that Ebates pop-up. (I get that this is not points or miles, but I put it here because you would do this in lieu of a shopping portal from an airline, so it’s related.)

CURRENT REFERRAL: Literally, it’s $10 in cash after your first purchase if you go here:

Pay ANY bills with your credit card and get points and miles. This is a great way to meet your minimum spend on a new credit card, though not an ideal way, unless they are fee-free dollars. Thankfully, Plastiq runs promotions, like the one in my referral below, that allow you to pay things for free.

CURRENT REFERRAL: Pay any bill by card with Plastiq. Use my referral code & pay $500 worth of bills to get 500 fee-free dollars:

Every booking on Rocketmiles comes with free points and miles. Be aware, though, that many of them are not the best deal. (1) You can often find a cheaper price on another site. (2) The difference is the amount you're paying to obtain those points and it is often not a great deal. This site is best paired with business travel so that they can cover the costs.

CURRENT REFERRAL: Sign up now and earn 1000 Miles for your first hotel booking!:

This could be dropped under points and miles, but the kicks are worth cash and gift cards, so I put it here. Shopkick is an interesting addition to the shopping market in that you can get kicks for even showing up to a store they have with them. For example, I got points for just entering CVS! Pretty cool!

Current offer: Try Shopkick and we'll both get points toward a free gift card! 😀 Use code SHOP218436 or download

Hooch is another cashback app. I haven’t found the app to be as intuitive as the others, but they still offer cash back. And hey, even with all of the problems I’m having, I have $5+ in my account, ready to cash out, sooooooo…

HOOCH APP rewards your experiences. Earn up to 10% back - plus exclusive perks - when you travel, shop or dine with thousands of partners worldwide. Click to learn more, join free + earn $5 TAP just for joining!

Drop is another points app that automatically gives you points once you link up your credit cards. For me, it’s killer because it works at places like Chipotle, only my favorite food place EVER!!

✨ I’m inviting you to join Drop, the free app that’s giving away millions in cash rewards every day! Use my code l5c3q to get $5 - no strings attached. ‪‬

Bank Referrals

Chase Bank

Uhhhh, so, uh, do you want $350? Cuz if you open up a Chase checking and savings account, you can get $350. Um, okay, wow! That's easy!

CURRENT REFERRAL: You can get $200 with a new checking account and another $150 with a new savings account with qualifying activities:

All of the referrals on this page provide me with some kind of kickback. This one doesn't, but provides YOU with $100. This is a MUST MUST MUST if you travel internationally and it's FREE! Sign up for the Schwab Bank Checking account. Why? All ATM fees are reversed and there's no foreign transaction fees. THIS IS HUGE. Every bank charges something so it's a big deal that they don't!

CURRENT REFERRAL: Welcome, you've been referred to Schwab and have the opportunity to get $100.:

If you don't have an online-only savings account, now is the time to get one. Why do I recommend this? Out of sight, out of mind. What you do is set an auto-transfer. Set it and forget it. And then presto, you have a savings account that is building your emergency fund and you didn't even realize it was doing it!! YAY! I used Capital One 360 as my first online savings account and BOY has that account saved me more than once because I forgot it was there and I suddenly had money set aside!

CURRENT REFERRAL: Make bank! Get $25-$100 for opening up an account:

Money Apps

There are a lot of great ways to make money. Hooking on the corner, for example. After you get that money, now what? Well, here are some apps I love:

Acorns sets aside money for your savings account by rounding up without your knowledge. So when you spend $1.35, it "charges" your debit card $0.65 to add to it's investment account. Trust me. This adds up.

CURRENT REFERRAL: Get $5 when you use my invite link:

Same idea as Acorns, but with more clear goal setting.

CURRENT REFERRAL: I'm saving money faster with Qapital. Sign up and use my code b56f294t or my link and we'll both get $10!

I use this as an aggregate "all accounts in one place" app. Err'thang I own is in this app. I link all my banks and credit cards here and it gives me neat little charts and graphs so I know how much I have.

CURRENT REFERRAL: We both get $20 if you link a qualified investment account (like a taxable brokerage, 401k, IRA, 529, etc.):

Who wants some of dat Bitcoin?? 🤚If you just raised your hand, like me, then get on Coinbase. It’s my app of choice to get on the cryptocurrency train. That shit is expensive, but if you do well, you may be able to get in early, before a coin explodes. This is wild, wild west, y’all!

CURRENT REFERRAL: Know someone curious about crypto? You’ll both receive $10 in Bitcoin when they buy or sell $100 or more on Coinbase!

Travel Lodging

For all of you homosexuals out there, here's an Airbnb for gays. Gay-friendly hosts for gay-friendly guests. Yay!

CURRENT REFERRAL: Leigh is offering you a $10 discount on your next stay with misterb&b. To get your discount, click the link below to make your first booking:

I mean, do I need to tell you about Airbnb? Duh. I make over $10,000/year hosting part-time (but remember, I live in the middle of New York City and have an extra bedroom).

CURRENT REFERRAL: Become a host!

I have found some of the cheapest bookings I've ever gotten on Cheap cheap cheap. That's their shtick.

CURRENT REFERRAL: Get 10% of your first booking:

Save Time

Here are some apps that'll save you time in your life. As someone who is self-professed to be extraordinarily busy in comparison to the masses, these tools I found to be very helpful.

I can't say enough good things about Amy, who is my virtual assistant, and who is also artificial intelligence, schedules my appointments for me. It's like magic!! I literally send an email, copy Amy (, and she takes over, emailing back and forth with my contact until the appointment is setup. I use it for both my business and my personal life. I'm talking A+ style. There was a learning curve. For example, I had to learn to set my appointment window appropriately so that Amy would stop scheduling me at 8a. I also needed to learn to constantly keep my calendar updated. If it's free in my calendar, it's free and available to Amy, so it's got to stay up to date! LOVE. THIS. APP.

Save Money

There are so many plans on so many companies that there's got to be a way for cheaper bills.

As Dosh says, it’s not points, it’s not coupons, it’s cold hard cash. It’s the truth! In the first month, I made $11.48! That’s cray! Just sync your credit cards to it and shop like you always do. If they are a part of Dosh, they will give you cash back. It’s that easy.

BillShark has saved me hundreds of dollars! They reduce wireless, cable, internet, home phone, home security bills by calling the companies in your name and getting you a better deal. While, generally speaking, they have done a great job, you've got to double check their work. One time they reduced my cell phone plan by giving me unlimited internet, but it became a slow 2G speed at a certain point. For me, that was not tolerable, so I had to call to get that reverted. More often than not, though, they've removed a feature I didn't want or committed to contract that I agreed with and reduced my bill for me. FREE MONEY!

Everytime you and one other person eat at a place on the Seated app, you get a Lyft, Starbucks, or Amazon reward, and we're talking like up to 25% off your bill. It's significant!

CURRENT REFERRAL: Seated gives you $10 - $50 in Amazon or Lyft credit every time you dine out. Use my promo code "LEIGH24" to get an extra $5 reward!:

Neat Things

This is like my own “Favorite Things” section.

One of my biggest pet peeves with my old electric toothbrush was how loud it was. I couldn’t hear the TV over it. Well, Quip solves that problem. It’s much quieter. It also is so small that it fits in your travel bag so much easier than the bulky electric ones.

CURRENT REFERRAL: If you use my link, you’ll get a brush refill (i.e. a brand new toothbrush) for free:
